4 arrested in Aroostook County for allegedly dealing fentanyl and meth

Police arrested four people on Tuesday in the Aroostook County town of Caswell for allegedly dealing methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The arrests were based on a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigation spanning several months into suspected drug trafficking at a residence on Van Buren Road, according to a news release from the agency.
Caswell is northeast of Caribou, on the U.S. Canada border.
MDEA agents, deputies from the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Border Patrol agents used a warrant to search the residence on Tuesday. There they seized more than 2 pounds of fentanyl, more than a pound methamphetamine and more than $19,000 in suspected drug proceeds, according to the MDEA.
The agency estimates the drugs were worth more than $200,000.
Andrew McHatten, 47, of Caswell; Whilo Recio, 27, of Mattapan, Massachusetts; Ramon Recio, 28, of Boston; and Diomedes Del Rosario Cotreras, 35, of the Dominican Republic, were charged with Class A unlawful trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine.
They were brought to Aroostook County Jail with their bail set at $15,000 cash.
